Spanish II

 OVERVIEW

This class will include a review of much of what was covered in Spanish I. There will be an emphasis on speaking, reading, writing, and listening in Spanish. Basic grammar, vocabulary building, responding to everyday situations, and preparing dialogs using all the tenses will be the focus of this class.

EXPECTATIONS

Students are expected to be on time and come prepared to class. Students should have homework completed when they come to class and turned in on time. They are expected to pay attention during class instruction, to ask questions if they don't understand something, and to work to the best of their ability.

CRITERIA FOR PASSING

A variety of homework, quizzes, dialogs, tests, projects, papers, and presentations will be assigned during the course of this class. Students must achieve a 60% average on these in order to pass this class.

GRADING SYSTEM

Homework, dialogs, quizzes, etc. will count as 50% of the grade.  Tests, semester final, etc. will count as 50% of the grade. One extra credit is allowed per quarter and will count as 1-2% of the quarter grade depending on the extent of the extra credit.
