Coach Jeremy Kerns is heading into his 20th season as the head coach for the boy’s basketball program.  Before coming to Byers, Coach Kerns was an assistant coach at the University of Northern Colorado for the Women's Basketball team for 3 years and an assistant coach at Dayspring Christian for one year.

Coach Kerns has been selected as the CHSCA coach of the year in 2018, He was selected to coach at the CHSAA All State Games in 2012, and was chosen to coach the Union Pacific League All-Star Games in 2018, 2019 and 2022
