Kelci Crispe

3rd Grade

I graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English. I then went on to earn a master’s degree in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from Regis University. It has always been a dream of mine to use these degrees and become an elementary teacher, and I am thrilled to be living that dream here at Byers Elementary School!

When I first graduated with my degree, I received a job offer to work at an elementary school in Jefferson County, where I taught kindergarten and second grade for nine years.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, as I graduated from the Jefferson County Public School system and it was great to be able to give back to that community.  About four years ago I moved to a ranch in Agate and that is what landed me here at Byers Elementary.

My number one goal as an educator is for my students to love learning!  I want my students to feel loved, valued, and safe every time they walk through the door.  I want them to take chances in their learning, as that is where growth begins! I truly love spending my time in the school environment, and I want all of my students to feel the same!

When I am not teaching or coaching the high school cross country team, I love spending my time running, reading as many books as possible, and spending time helping out on the ranch.  My four dogs, Mater, Zoey, Max, and Stella keep me plenty busy as well as riding the horses I am so thankful for.
