Cheryl Savoy

Mrs. Savoy has been a dedicated Title I Interventionist in Byers since 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. In 2005, she completed her Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Reading and Literacy from Walden University.

A passionate educator, Mrs. Savoy treasures her work with children and is committed to nurturing their growth. She finds joy in watching her students develop both academically and socially.

In addition to her professional life, Mrs. Savoy recently celebrated her marriage this past summer and is enjoying her newly married life. She has five wonderful children and is immensely proud of them. One of her favorite activities is spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Outside of her family, Mrs. Savoy loves scrapbooking, singing, and discovering new programs and ideas to enhance her teaching. She is deeply passionate about learning and continually strives to improve as an educator.

Originally from the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Pennsylvania, Mrs. Savoy moved to Colorado in 1993. She appreciates the low humidity and the majestic Rocky Mountains, although she sometimes feels homesick for the vibrant fall colors back east. She values the close-knit community at Byers School, where the entire staff feels like family, making it a wonderful place to work!
