These students will serve as leaders in our elementary school, helping to plan events, share student ideas, and represent their classmates throughout the year.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every student who ran for office and bravely gave a speech. Your effort, creativity, and courage showed true leadership, and we are proud of each and every one of you.
This year’s election was a wonderful reminder of the enthusiasm and spirit our students bring to school each day. We look forward to seeing the positive impact our Student Council will make!

We had a frightfully fantastic time celebrating Halloween at school this year! From creative costumes to classroom games, the day was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of treats.

Tuesday, November 11th- We will honor our Veteran's with our annual Veteran's Day Concert. The concert will take place at 2:15 p.m. in the school's new gym. Veteran's and their families are invited to attend. Families attending are asked to bring their driver's license and sign in at the elementary office.

*Monday November 3rd, - Student Council Speeches will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

* Tuesday, November 4th- Elementary Election Day! Students will cast their votes for this year's Student Council representatives, and results will be announced the morning of November 5th. It takes a lot of courage to give a speech in front of the entire student body- good luck to all the candidates! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!

Halloween day at Byers elementary October 31, 2025
A quick reminder that tomorrow is our Halloween parade and classroom parties. We will allow students to begin dressing in costumes at 12:55 PM. For the safety of our students', visitors need to check in to the elementary office prior to heading to classrooms to help students. The parade will begin at 1:15 PM. Please bring your driver's license during this time. Only classroom party parents will be allowed to stay, following the parade. Please remember to park in the parking lot, as we have car pick up that will start right after the Halloween parties.
We look forward to all the fun festivities with the students!

We have a couple exciting events happening this week.
* Wednesday, October 29th - Picture Retake Day
If your child missed the original picture day, or you would like a retake, please send your child ready for photos on Wednesday. Please, send any photos you ordered in September with your child if you are planning on getting a retake.
*Friday, October 31st, - Annual Halloween Parade and Classroom Parties
Parents may arrive no earlier the 12:55 p.m. to help their child get into costumes.
Please keep in mind that restroom space is limited for costume changes.
The parade will begin at 1:15 p.m. in the new gym., followed by classroom parties.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate younger siblings during the classroom parties. No masks on adults during this time, please.
We ask that all visitors park in the parking lot rather than the car pick-up line for the parade.
Preschool Parents: Please refer to the note from your child's teacher for information about preschool Halloween festivities.
