*This week is Fire Safety Week. A huge thank you to our local firefighters for spending time with our students this week and for everything they do to keep our community safe!
* Parent-Teacher Conference Sign-Up Genius will be sent out Thursday, October 9th and will close at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th. This gives families 11 days to sign up and allows teachers ample time to prepare for each evening.
*We will not have school Friday, October 10 and Monday, October 13th.

The Junior High Football Team is safely on their way home from Akron. There was an active threat in the town, which had the team safely in lockdown in Akron school. All protocols were followed perfectly. The end result was the canceling of the game and the team getting out of town safely. Thank you to Akron school administration and coaches for all of their help during this situation.
Cancelled: The JV and Junior High Football Games that were schedueled at Crowley County next Monday, October 6th have been cancelled.
Great Job to the Cross Country Team at the Fusion Invite Today. Reese West Finished 1st, Quincy Bowling Finished 4th, and the Girls Team took 2nd Overall. Every Byers Runner PR'd on the Day.

Parents, can you believe we are already 27 days into the school year? That means students have 40.5 hours of reading and math instruction, and 27 hours of writing instruction under their belts! During this time, they've been engaged in teacher modeling, partner practice, and independent work-valuable learning experiences that simply cannot be replicated with a worksheet. Thank you so much for parenting with us and ensuring your child is present to grow and learn each day!
