Cross Country Shows Out at the Rocky Ford Meet with a New School Record and a 3rd Place Girls Team Finish
Great job to the Cross Country Team today at the Rocky Ford Invite. Reese West took 1st and Quincy Bowling took 2nd. The girls team took 3rd overall. Congratulations to Reese on breaking the school record with a time of 20.09
Great job to the rest of the team, as many others also set their own Personal Record Times.
Due to a hang-up at our opponent's school, the junior high volleyball games that were scheduled at Bennett for September 18th have been moved to September 30th.
The JV Football Game that was scheduled for August 31 at Rocky Ford has been Cancelled.

Good afternoon 7th grade students and parents. I am reminding you of the upcoming 7th grade orientation on Monday, August 12th from 8:30am to noon. Please drop your child off at the high school front office. Transportation will not be provided. I hope you've had a great summer.

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Byers School will provide no cost Breakfast and Lunch for all students during the 2024-25 school year.
Research shows students perform better in school when they are not hungry. By providing Breakfast and Lunch to all children at no cost, we better support their learning.
Our school meals follow the U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. When families choose no-cost school meals, our school gets more funding and our school community can connect over mealtimes. It also saves time and money, which your family can use on what’s most important.
Although all students will receive no cost meals, it’s still important for households to provide income information when requested. Gathering this information allows Byers School District to receive state and federal funding we qualify for. These funds go directly to schools to help cover the cost of meals and support after-school activities and other nutritional programs for students. Plus, qualifying households may be eligible to receive Summer EBT benefits, receive discounted school fees, class materials, bus passes, utilities support and more.

Byers Junior High Students went to Washington DC and New York City this June.
The Byers youth basketball shooting camp is June 10 and June 11 from 2:00-5:00. We will take registrations right up until the beginning of camp in the new gym. It is best to get there by 1:30 to register at the door. The camp is 1st-8th grade boys and girls and the cost is $35.
