I have been at Byers Elementary since 2009. This was my first job out of college, I began as a para-professional in the special education department, then moved to teaching for a couple of years, and I finally settled in to my dream position as the elementary counselor. I started part-time and have worked up to a full-time position! I love being in the school every day with such great students and staff.  New to my plate this year is High school volleyball coach. Volleyball has always been a passion of mine and I’m excited for this new opportunity.

On a personal note, I have two children of my own that attend Byers. We enjoy the close school community here. We were able to get out of town for the first couple weeks of summer this year and do something we love! We were able to travel! We went to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo as well as the beach, most of these things were a first for me and the kids. We were also able to visit a lot of family in Arizona and Missouri. We recently built a home in between Strasburg and Byers. We are still getting settled and making it ours, but we love having a little slice of heaven to call our own.
