Diana Elliott

Mrs. Elliott is the 8th through 12th Grade Special Education Teacher.  This is her 7th year at Byers Schools. She is a Colorado native, born in Holyoke and raised in Haxtun - a proud Black and Cherry Lady Bullpup. Mrs. Elliott's family moved to Strasburg during her junior high years and she graduated from Strasburg High School - a proud Red and Black Indian. Mrs. Elliott raised her son and daughter before returning to college and graduating with a BA in Special Education with a special endorsement as a Special Education Generalist from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She was a Special Education teacher at Strasburg High School for many years before donning the Black and White of the Limon Badgers. Mrs. Elliott was an Elementary and High School Special Education teacher in Limon for four years before coming to Byers Jr/Sr. High School. She now considers herself a very proud Green and White Byers Bulldog.

Mrs. Elliott lives in Strasburg with her husband, Strasburg Middle School and High School Band and Choir instructor, Mr. Elliott, her dog and one old and very cranky cat. In her spare time she enjoys reading and most of all spending time with her family - which now includes three beautiful and precious granddaughters, McKenna, Piper and Emelia.

Mrs. Elliott feels blessed to be working for the Byers School District and hopes to be a lasting part of the Byers School Community.
