I was born in Denver, Colorado and lived there until the summer before my fourth grade year when my family decided to make the move out to Strasburg, Colorado. Once I moved to Strasburg, I immediately became involved in athletics and began to take a great deal of pride in my academic studies. I graduated from Strasburg High School in 2013 after playing football, basketball, and baseball for four years. After high school I attended college at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. While at Hastings College, I studied secondary math education and played football for the Hastings College Broncos for four years. Upon graduation in the spring of 2017, I decided that I wanted to return to the eastern plains and accepted a job to teach secondary mathematics and coaching football here in Byers, Colorado.
I am the oldest of 7 boys (yes, 7 boys) and am very fortunate to call these fine young men my brothers. Two of my brothers are currently attending college, while one attends Hemphill Middle School in Strasburg, one attends Strasburg High School, and the two youngest are still in diapers. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my brothers and the rest of my wonderful family. I also enjoy playing Frisbee golf, golf, skiing, pickup basketball (or really any sport) and watching any sport competition on television, and on Sundays, in the fall, you can find me yelling at the referee during a Broncos game. Go Broncos!!
I am excited to begin the second year of my teaching career here at Byers School District!
