Healthy Living

Overview:

This course focuses on attaining individual awareness, critical thinking skills and self responsibility relating to personal health.

 

Expectations:

Students are expected to be on time and come to class prepared. When homework is assigned it will be turned in at the beginning of the class period when it is due. Students are expected to be attentive in class, not distract classmates, ask questions if they don't understand something, and work to become the best student they can be.

  

Criteria for passing:

A variety of homework, quizzes, test, projects, and presentations will be assigned during the semester. Students must achieve a 60% average on these in order to pass this class.

 

Grading System:

Homework, quizzes, projects, participation, and presentations will count as 1/3 of the grade. Tests will count as 2/3 of the grade.

90-100 A
80-89 B
70-79 C
60-69 D
59 and below F

Participation: 10 points everyday

1. You must be dressed ready to work out on those days we are in the gym.
     -Proper tennis shoes and workout clothes
2. You must participate in the activity to receive those points  

If you have an injury I need a Dr.'s note after 3 days missed. You will have different assignments instead of activity; this is set up with instructor.
